Naturally dried hardwood logs in Fleet
Our seasoned logs are air-dried for up to 14 months before they are made available for sale. This extended drying period significantly reduces the carbon footprint of our firewood, making our logs a more sustainable choice when compared to kiln-dried logs.
While our seasoned hardwood logs are naturally dried in the open air, kiln dried logs are dried out over several days in kilns that consume additional resources. This method of drying logs leads to higher carbon emissions, making kiln dried logs less environmentally friendly than our naturally dried hardwood logs.

Our log stores do a fantastic job of keeping your firewood dry and ready to burn, but it is still important that hardwood logs are stored away from sources of moisture, such as trees, streams and lakes, as the logs can reabsorb this moisture from the atmosphere. It is also important that your logs are not completely covered with a tarpaulin, as this will restrict the flow of air around your logs and will cause them to “sweat”.
