Naturally dried seasoned hardwood logs in Liphook

All of the logs we sell are from seasoned hardwood species, predominantly ash, beech, oak and birch. Our hardwood logs are suitable for many different applications, including wood burners, open fires, pizza ovens, firepits and even wood fired hot tubs!

Our seasoned hardwood logs in Liphook are all air-dried for at least 14 months prior to sale. This reduces the carbon footprint of our logs dramatically when compared to kiln dried logs, making them much a much more sustainable option.

Coal and kindling

As well as our hardwood logs for sale in Liphook, we also offer Homefire Ovals smokeless coal, firelighters (natural and Zip) and kindling. Coal and kindling can be collected from our yard or added to a delivery of hardwood logs.

Homefire Ovals smokeless coal is a great choice for multi-fuel stoves and open fires, as it can last up to 40% longer than normal house coal. Homefire Ovals also generate up to 20% more heat and produce up to 80% less smoke than regular coal, helping you to save money and protect the environment.

Wooden log stores in Liphook

Many of our customers in Liphook and East Hampshire have also bought our preassembled wooden log stores, which can be delivered together with a load of logs.

Our affordable log stores feature a slanted roof to help the rain run off, as well as slatted sides to ensure there is enough air circulation around your firewood.

Where you store your logs is as important as what you store them in, and it is recommended that you keep your logs as far away from trees and streams as possible. If you store your logs too close to water or foliage, your logs are likely to reabsorb moisture from the atmosphere and become damp as a result.

It is also important to avoid completely covering your logs with a tarpaulin, as this will restrict air flow and cause your logs to “sweat”.

If you do not have a log store for your hardwood logs, the next best option is to stack your logs along a wall on pallets. A roll of bin liners can be laid across the top to keep the majority of the rain off.

Sustainable timber

All of our hardwood logs for sale in Liphook are produced from timber bought from sustainably managed sources, such as the Forestry Commission. We source the timber as locally as possible, with much of it coming from the Dorking, Ewhurst and Selhurst areas.

At Andrew Heard, we are constantly reviewing our in-house processes to help safeguard the environment for future generations.

We are also proud members of Woodsure, the UK’s regulatory body for log suppliers. This ensures our logs for sale in Liphook and Hampshire are all ready to burn and have a moisture content of less than 20%. This provides a cleaner burn and reduces the smoke and pollution given off by logs when they are burned.
