New Firewood Processors
We have been very busy over the last couple of weeks! We have received not one but two new firewood processors! This will enable us to keep up with increased demand whilst also giving the logs optimum time to dry to under 20% as per new regulations from early 2021.
We often get questions about our machines and how they work. Read on to find out more and watch the videos of each new machine in action!
Posch K-660
We are very happy to announce that we have taken delivery of the first Posch K-660 in the UK. This machine brings a big change to us. It is faster than our previous machine, producing a load of logs in around 7 mins. Not only is it faster, but this new machine automatically cuts and splits the logs. This means there is a lot less manual labour involved with it and the safety of our staff has been vastly improved.
Despite the Posch K-660 automation, we can still determine the length and width of our seasoned logs which is important for us so we can keep providing a range of log sizes rather than one standard.
Posch S-375
The Posch S-375 replaces the Dalen, which was a very similar machine. The main advantage of our new machine is that it is fully controlled by a joystick and levers. This again improves the safety of our staff as even the loading deck for timber lengths is lever controlled.
As with the Posch K-660, we can change the log lengths and to a degree how thin the logs are by changing the splitter.
We hope you enjoyed seeing an insight into how we process your firewood. Let us know what other topics you would like to see a blog post on!
